Is Ombra a prop firm, a broker or a signal service?
None of those. Ombra is software that copies and checks orders you or your own alerts decide on. It doesn’t give trading advice, trade ideas or signals, and it doesn’t hold your money.
Is copying allowed by my firm?
Firm rules differ and change. Check your firm’s rules before you automate or copy. Ombra will show warnings where we know of restrictions, but you’re responsible for following them.
What happens if NinjaTrader crashes?
By default every follower position carries a stop resting at the broker, so it stays protected while NinjaTrader is down. When an install stops reporting, the engine alerts you.
What do you do with market data?
Your market data feed stays on your own machine: we never receive quotes or charts, and never pass one account’s data to anyone. To copy and check orders, the engine does see your own orders, fills and positions, and whatever your alerts contain.
Do you share my data with prop firms?
No, never, in any form. That includes any firm we or our group might set up in future. The privacy notice sets this out.
What do I need to run it?
NinjaTrader 8 on Windows or a Windows VPS, with your Rithmic or Tradovate connections set up as usual. One add-on goes on each install.
When can I use it, and what will it cost?
Ombra is in development. The free Drift Recorder comes first, then a small group of hand-onboarded testers on simulated accounts. Paid plans will be one flat monthly price for the whole fleet. Founders get 50% off that price for life.
